The company was founded by George Jewell, who came to Chicago from his native England, having been educated and trained in the great hospitality schools and hotels of Europe. The first party he catered consisted of an hors d'ouevres tray he cooked and delivered himself. Now the company operates out of a 40,000 foot warehouse with one of the largest commercial kitchens in the industry, and employs hundreds. We partner with the finest vendors in the city, using only the finest and freshest ingredients, incorporating organic and artisan foods whenever possible.
